Best clam chowder on the west coast. And Mr. Paul Capurro welcomed us himself and was gracious and told the story of his family and the history of the restaurant... we even took pictures together ... felt good to be treated this way :-)
Stopped in for the Louie salad, added jumbo shrimp. It was very good and the louie dressing top notch. My son got the chocolate gelato, I had a bite and it was SO good. Friendly staff and plenty of indoor and outside seating. Close to Hyde Pier.
Super good. Bread bowl of clam chowder was awesome and the chicken parmesan was worth the money for the size of it. Great environment and the staff was very attentive.
Some of the best fish & chips I've ever had! Fish and chips is one of those deceptively simple dishes that so many places get wrong. This place got it right. Lightly battered, delicious fish, great sauce. We also got the clam chowder and sourdough bread, both outstanding. I also really enjoyed the low-key atmosphere and relaxed service. You order from the bar and sit at any of the red-checkered tablecloths. A thoroughly enjoyable meal

I'm a local and I know I shouldn't expect much from any restaurants around Fisherman Wharf. Most of them are normal standards and pricy. Capurro's surprise me. The food is amazing! Since the service is half-served (u order at the front, find a seat that u like, grab water from the water station), I can't tell if it's good or bad. I kinda like it.
I was surprised to see their price tag, yup people, this restaurant is located in the touristy area, but their prices are definitely better than most local food joints in San Francisco! We ordered the meatballs panini, chicken parmesan panini and a bowl of clam chowder. They all came in generous portions and were delicious and warm, perfect for the weather! The service was friendly and the restaurant was spacious, great for kids because they have kids menu and great for large groups too! Ordering is simple, you go up to the counter/bar and place your order! Waitress checked on us too. I was sad to see empty tables though, they should have gotten more traffic considering the premium real estate. I hope they will thrive! I'm local, but was playing tourist. If you're in the area looking for a good meal with reasonable prices, come and dine here! Their menu is quite large and have options for everyone.
A nice place to get a meal while walking along the Jefferson St near the Wharf. We came in for a quick bite to eat and just ordered fish tacos and a bowl of clam chowder. Tacos were delicious and filling. The clam chowder was also good. Nice outdoor patio to enjoy your meal and just relax. Large seating indoors as well as a bar coy area to have a drink and order for to go.
